Now that you’ve seen my system, lets see some other methods.
Most people start off with just using a paper envelope. That works fine at first until you get more serious about couponing.
- Money Saving Mom uses a coupon box. This is a logical step after the envelope. In fact its just incorporating many envelopes into a box.
- Bargin Briana uses the insert method. This is similar to what I do, but instead of really clipping at all, you just file the inserts and go back and clip them only as you need them.
- Most serious couponers use binders. There are a million different ways to go about creating a binder, but Being Frugal might have one of the most detailed binder systems I’ve every seen.
More and more at the store I see people with binders. It’s like the coupon binder has taken the place of the expensive purse as the status symbol of choice since saving money is cool now
Finding what coupon system works for you will surely involve lots of trial and error and maybe a combination of different methods.
