I love food. Growing up on my family’s farm my time was either spent in the kitchen preparing meals for my family and hired hands or outside taking care of the animals.

If you’re looking for culinary masterpieces, you’ve come to the wrong place. I’m all about easy, lip smacking recipes with ingredients I can find at my local grocery store. You know…..the stuff real people can make and eat. People are always asking for my recipes and shockingly surprised at how simple the delicious food is to make. So follow along with me as I share my favorite recipes and try out some new ones.

I have the most horrible kitchen this side of the Mississippi. I refer to it as the knotty pine dungeon, because well, everything but the floor is knotty pine wood! If I can cook up decent food in my crappy kitchen, you should easily be able to in yours.

In an effort to build the kitchen of my dreams, eh, I mean home of our dreams, my husband and I embarked on a debt-free lifestyle. I enjoy sharing tips on how we live the frugal life. We truly believe that if we live like no one else now, some day we can live like no one else, as our money mentor Dave Ramsey says.

Free is my favorite four letter word. I’m always amazed at what I can get for free which is why I’m addicted to coupons. I’ll be passing along some of the best freebies you’ll want to take advantage of.

I live in the country, outside of a small town in Ohio with my wonderful husband and dishwasher, Zach. I love to cook and he loves to eat, which is why we’re happily married.
